Situation
The client’s manufacturing site in Mexico wished to have a third-party assessment of the training department’s learning management system and its overall performance in meeting the needs of its internal clients. TrainSmart was retained to conduct a training department audit.
Engagement
The two phases of this project involved data collection and report preparation. The data collection phase involved:
- Focus groups
- Individual interviews with department heads and senior management
- Review of elearning and paper-based modules
Based on the analysis of the data and information collected, TrainSmart prepared a report listing a series of “opportunities” for improvement. Each opportunity included the following:
